Excellent and simple to use!

I am far from an expert cook, and am pretty much into regular guy food.

So far I have made fresh corn, a really nice ( and simple ) chicken dish (included in booklet that comes with the product),fresh green beans and the BEST microwave "baked" potato's ever!

I am sure one could much more, but I am quite happy - perfect size for one or two people.

The packaging is high end, and the product looks great!

HA SH R-530EW WHITE 1200 WATT (Sharp R530EW) (MICOVEN R530EW) Review

This is the best Microwave we have ever owned. The last Sharp lasted 10 years but cost twice as much and did not come close to this one.
We tried an experiment with the Sensor setting and cooked a piece of Tilapia in the regular oven and the other filet in the Sharp 530 following the one screen help menu. The Microwave fish was tastier and more moist and cooked in 1/2 the time of the oven.
The sensor works wonders with reheating and defrosting and we find we are using it more than we ever used the older one.
I have recommended it to several co-workers and friends who are in the market for a great microwave at a super price.

Purchased this microwave in white (R-308-NW). Use this microwave numerous times daily for all sorts of applications. Works great and has the same interior space as my old very, very large microwave. Good price, easy to setup, and able to use a lot of the many features included with this Sharp microwave. Definitely would recommend this appliance to my friends and anyone else who is interested.

I cannot believe this was all I had to do.I have been in this new house for 5 years. My original microwave, a very expensive Monogram convection($1200)(800 power) has broken down 3 times now. The magnatron is covered by warranty for 10 years.Big deal, the house call & installation alone ran me $250 each time.I found a really nice Stainless Steel Panasonic at Sams Club (after this 3rd breakdown)for $148.This microwave while not convection (I never used the convection part in the orginal one anyway) has a large turntable which the other one didn't and was much larger inside capacity 1250 power.Being that it is a table model and the original was a built in is where my problem was.I searched all over town for a frame kit to no avail.Got on internet and found a few but were not sure if they would fit.One seller advised me against it.When I found the one on Amazon, I decided to take the chance.It arrived so fast and I had it up the same morning.I just had to call my husband when it came time for the muscle of putting the oven back in.He laughed and patted me on the back and said I did good.He saw me running all over town for a week and then took a chance and it was perfect.It is beautiful and strong and if my oven ever breaks again, I have the frame all ready in place.It looks like it came with the house.I can't be happier. RCA RMW1480 1.4 Cu-Ft Stainless Steel Design Microwave Review

I got this microwave on sale for under [...] and it was a big mistake. Very few features, no one-touch functions at all, with annoying and very loud beeps. If you want to wake up the entire house when your microwave is finished, buy this one. Fortunately, the turntable stopped working after a few days so I could return it for a refund and buy a really good microwave for the same price. Learned my lesson, don't buy for looks (it really does look nice, with a real chrome door), buy for function. Since it'd been so long since I bought my last microwave, I thought they were all pretty much the same, but this was far worse than my ten year old one. Very poor design and function, from what I thought was a good brand.

Sharp R-55TS Warm & Toasty Toaster/Microwave Review

Read these reviews carefully. The unhappy people are the people who bought this appliance without understanding what it is.

1) It's a small, low-power microwave. Small, low-powered microwaves don't do popcorn very well and some things just don't fit in there.

2) It's a large toaster oven, which means the elements are somewhat removed from the toast. If you want quick toast, get a toaster, where the elements are often less than an inch from the bread. But if you want to toast all sorts of lumpy things, including three or four slices of bread at a time, this'll do it. Typically, mine takes 4 1/2 minutes to toast regular bread.

3) It's a small oven. The oven works well, although again, it's small (see #1). Don't plan on cooking the Thanksgiving turkey in there.

If you understand these things, you'll like this appliance. I sure like mine. It's perfect for a bachelor!

The George Foreman Grill is great.I use it 2 to 3 times a week.The microwave is awful.It heats my dishes more than it heats my food.I've burnt my self on 'microwave safe' dishes only to find that my food is luke warm after heating for 3 minutes.Also the clock is slow.I set it for the correct time and 2 days later it is behind by 5 minutes and gets progressively worse.Needless to say, we are buying a new microwave next week.Buy the grill, not the microwave.

GE JX81D Microwave Filter Kit Review

I don't have an outside exhaust on the vent above my stove.The old vent had only grease filters while the new GE vent also has room for a charcoal filter.Great idea, but the filter is tough to find.Good thing Amazon has a partner that sells this thing.Also, it is pricey for a simple charcoal filter, but it was expensive everywhere else i looked, so the vendor was not overly high priced.

Westinghouse WST3501 0.7 Microwave Oven Review

I don't want to be too harsh on this product; I got it for Christmas in 2005 to replace a 20+ year old Sharp Carousel Microwave. My Westinghouse Microwave still works, and hasn't given me any problems. It was purchased extremely cheaply from JC Penny, and my Mom doubled a coupon and a credit card discount to get it for even less.

Even so, my two main complaints about this product are the small amount of rust that has developed inside the microwave in the corners and under the rotating glass tray, and the inability of the clock to correctly calculate time. I do use the timer almost daily for my oven, and it's accurate for a countdown of microwaving food. But the time will only stay correct for a few hours, and slowly and steadily start falling behind actual time by minutes and eventually hours. Also, after about six months of use, it started making a high pitched humming sound whenever used. I have seen this microwave sold at Rite-Aid so it obviously is a very cheap impulse buy microwave without any regard to long term quality of the unit.

All that said, I still use mine daily and it hasn't let me down after three years. I do like the defrost feature, and the fact that I can use it as a timer for my oven. I would recommend Sharp brand over Westinghouse for microwaves, they seem to last the longest and can stand the test of time.

Microkiln, Small (Microwave Kiln) Review

I got this in a kit with lots of supplies of kiln paper, coe 90 glass and the protective gloves.I also had a 40% off coupon I used on it.So I figure the kiln itself only cost me about $45.I've been very successful with making small dichroic pendants.I've taken notes and made adjustments and am very pleased with the results.It's great to experiment with and so much quicker than using my big kiln and waiting 6 hrs for a cool down.Having fun and would buy again...and hoping this lasts for years.

KitchenAid Architect Series II : KBMS1454SSS 24in Built-in Microwave Oven - Stainless Steel Review

I own the Kitchenaid KBMR1454R. I assume this (the KBMR1454SSS) is a different version of the same model (SSS standing for stainless steel trim. I have a serious problem with my microwave, and I caution anyone considering this model to investigate the functioning of the cooling fan. If the interior of the oven gets overheated, the cooling fan comes on. It either shuts down operation in the middle of your cooking cycle, or remains on after your cycle is finished. When this happens the microwave is unusable for as much as five minutes until the interior cools and the fan goes off. It takes almost nothing to make this happen. The other day I defrosted 3 meatballs (small ones!) on low power for 3 minutes. The cooling fan came on and I had to wait 5 minutes before heating up the sauce to put them in. In the meantime, my kids were climbing the walls. If I make bacon, I have to make it in shifts, allowing the microwave to cool down in between each 4 slices. It's impossible to defrost a single-serving bowl of soup in one shot. It's clear to me that the engineers who designed this microwave never tried to use it to cook for a busy family. It's very expensive, relative to other ovens, but I splurged because I use a microwave so frequently. It was a huge waste of money, and I caution anyone who plans to use a microwave with any frequency against buying it.

Maytag : Over-The-Range Microwave Oven Review

This microwave was supplied with our new house and never worked from day one.Maytag sent a repairman out to fix the unit but a part had to be ordered.That was 5 weeks ago and Maytag told me today that it will be 6 more weeks before the part is available.The reason they gave was the recent earthquakes in China.Wouldn't you think they could be more inventive than that excuse?Bottom line is Maytag told me the unit has a repair only warranty and they will not replace it.I am amazed at Maytag's flippant attitude about me as a customer.The Maytag refrigerator had to be repaired as well.

Microwave Oven With Manual Dials 0.7 Cubic Ft Review

I purchased this for my office and am disappointed in the overall performance of this microwave.

The microwave is not level. It wobbles regardless of what surface I place it on.

The dials make it difficult to judge the timing.The power is poor and, even at the highest setting, heats food slowly.

Even if this microwave was under $30....I would not recommend it to anyone.

I HAD A 1,000 WATT MICROWAVE FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND WHEN IT STOPPED, I PURCHASED THIS SANYO, IT SAYS ON THE MICROWAVE 1,000 WATT, THE ONE I HAD BEFORE HAD 1,000 WATTS, ON THIS SANYO THINGS THAT TOOK 4 MINUTES BEFORE NOW TAKE 5 MINUTES AND WHAT TOOK 9 MINUTES BEFORE TAKE 12, IT MAY SAY 1,000 WATTS BUT IT DOES NOT WORK LIKE A 1,000 WATT MICROWAVE OVEN MORE LIKE A 800 WATT OVEN.I WILL NOT LOOK TO REPLACE MY SANYO WITH EITHER A PANASONIC OR SHARP.I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS ITEM.

Microwave Space-Saver Cart Review

It does have solid wood for the top pieces,braces, legs, doors and drawer front but the rest of it is pressed wood with wood veneer. I polyurethaned the whole cart to protect it from spills and it looks very nice but the veneers do not match the wood grain of the solid wood. The veneer is more fine type of grain while the solid wood has a larger grain appearance, it would have been nice if the wood grains would match better. The 2 top pieces look like a carving block and are very pretty. I didn't care for the way the back pieces are put together with pins, the pins are very loose and it was difficult holding the pieces together while trying to screw the top piece on. Other than that the stand is fairly easy to put together and seems to be sturdy once it is all together.
